Mumbai Indians
Strengths: Strong batting line-up.

Mumbai Indians opening batting pair has been on and off. Middle-order batters like Tilak Varma could do well. Surya has the ability to take the game on and could be the “X” factor for Mumbai. Tim David has been assigned the role of a finisher and is perfectly capable of doing the job.

Weaknesses: Inconsistent middle-order and bowling attack.

Kolkata Knight Riders
Strengths: Middle-order batting.
Weaknesses: Openers and pace bowlers.

Opening batting seems a concern for KKR. Addition of Roy can fix the problem. Middle-order batters Iyer, Rana, and Rinku are capable of delivering impactful innings. Russell can end the innings on a high.
Seam bowlers can struggle, as there is no impactful bowler in the ranks. KKR will heavily rely on their spin trio of Narine, Chakravarthy, and Suyash.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Strengths: Death bowling.
Weaknesses: Top-order batting.

Top-order can struggle and middle-order batters like Markram and Klaasen will have to take on the responsibility. Washington Sundar can contribute both with the bat and ball, and will be a crucial player for SRH.
Bhuvneshwar and Natarajan are good bowlers, especially at the end, where they bowl perfect yorkers. Jansen and Malik are capable of picking wickets and add a perfect balance to the bowling side. If SRH wants to play attacking brand of cricket, they will need to play leg-spinner, Markande, regularly.
Rajasthan Royals
Strengths: Top-order batting and bowling.
Weaknesses: Vulnerable middle-order.

Under Sanju Samson, RR has decided to take a new approach to batting. Openers Jaiswal and Buttler are in a good touch and always look to capitalise in the powerplay. Batters to follow, Padikkal, Samson, and Hetmyer, are also in a decent touch. Dhruv Jurel can strike big blows and has already shown signs of the same.
Boult and Sandeep Sharma are good with the swinging ball. Spin duo of Ashwin and Chahal complement each other well. Holder is the all-rounder in the side who can hit big sixes and can also bowl four overs for the team.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Strengths: Top-order batting.
Weaknesses: Lower middle-order and bowling.
Betting Analysis
Faf du Plessis and Kohli are giving RCB a good start in the powerplay. Maxwell too has seemed to have found his touch. Apart from these three, the remaining batters will need to up their game, especially Dinesh Karthik who is appointed finisher for RCB. Lomror, Shahbaz, Prabhudesai are all good players, but lack the consistency.
Bowling of RCB is heavily dependent on Mohammed Siraj who has impressed one and all. Harshal Patel can bowl magical spells, but if he has a bad day, then it really is a very bad day. Willey and Parnell will need to provide support, whenever they get their chances. Spinner Hasaranga is another attacking option whose main job is to take wickets regularly.
Delhi Capitals
Strengths: Warner and bowling.
Weaknesses: Vulnerable batting, especially middle-order.

Only David Warner seems to be in some batting form. Shaw has not been in form, replacing him with Salt can work. Mitchell Marsh at number 3 needs to come good, while Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Sarfaraz Khan all have to start contributing big in the middle order.
DC’s bowling has a balanced attack. The experienced Ishant Sharma will add great value to the team. Nortje has the pace, while Mukesh can close out overs. Kuldeep Yadav bamboozles batters and Axar is accurate with his line and lengths.
Punjab Kings
Strengths: Top-order and death over bowling.
Weaknesses: Middle-order is vulnerable and bowling middle overs.

Shikhar Dhawan is a consistent batter, but he can be out for some games due to injuries. Prabhsimran has shown some good signs, but needs to be more consistent. Addition of Livingstone will give Punjab a power hitter and a part-time spinner. Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma, and Shahrukh Khan can end the innings on a high if a platform is laid by the top-order batters.

Lucknow Super Giants
Strengths: Opening pair.
Weaknesses: Vulnerable middle-order and inconsistent bowling.
